7. Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact form from spam and abuse. Turnstile analyses visitor behaviour to determine whether they are human, without using traditional CAPTCHAs.

In doing so, data such as IP address and browser information may be transmitted to Cloudflare. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

8. Analytics

We use Umami Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Umami is an open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool that we self-host on our own servers. It does not use cookies, does not track visitors across websites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information.

The following data is collected per page visit:

  • Page URL and referrer
  • Browser type and operating system (anonymised)
  • Screen resolution
  • Approximate country (derived from IP address; the IP address itself is not stored)

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest is understanding which content is most useful to visitors in order to improve the website. Because no cookies are used and no personal data is retained, no consent banner is required under Dutch data protection authority (AP) guidance.

The analytics data is stored on our own infrastructure in Germany. No data is shared with third-party analytics providers.

9. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. The dark mode preference is stored in your browser's localStorage, which is technically not a cookie and does not contain personal data.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date of the last update can be found at the top of this page.
